At 3:30 p.m., the Brick Street Ramblers bring their cheerfully time-traveling sound to The Summit of Coralville. The Ramblers play early jazz from the days when records spun at 78 rpm and swing was still learning how to walk. Rooted in New Orleans traditions and edging just slightly into the swing era, this eight-piece ensemble features trumpet, trombone, clarinet, tenor sax, banjo, sousaphone, and a rhythm section built to keep things bouncing. Expect familiar melodies, hot rhythms, playful improvisation, and plenty of musical side-eye. It’s vintage jazz served with a grin—music that refuses to sit still and strongly encourages toe-tapping.
