Coffee for a cure “brewing kindness” will be the last week of February from the 23rd to the 28th. Our goal is to fill our barrel located in the lobby with non-perishable food items as well as filling our pay it forward board also located in the lobby! Why are we focusing on this? Both of these things play a huge roll in our community. The little food pantries are used by kids in the community to grab a quick snack or food item they can heat up by themselves. We see kids of all ages using our pantry. The pay it forward board is for anyone! We have people write coffee for a senior or latte for a veteran. We see kids come in at lunch time with a group of friends and no one has to feel left out. It gives everyone the opportunity to grab a drink or food item. One phrase I heard along time ago that has stuck with me is no one should have to suffer in silence and both of these help prevent that in our community. Every time some one adds something to the pay it forward board or brings in a non perishable food item we’ll give them a coupon for 20% off their next order and enter them in a drawing for prizes including a mug gift set, a rise and shine hat, a tumbler and a $50 gift card! We’ll be doing drink and baked goods specials all week! Suggest items for the food pantries are:
Single servings of Mac and cheese
Small bags of chips, crackers or cookies
Single servings of soups or raviolis
Fruit snacks, gushers, fruit roll ups
Granola bars or energy bars
Single servings of cereal or oatmeal
Suggested items for pay it forward board:
Muffins
Coffee
Redbull or Italian soda
Daily latte special
Biscuits and gravy
