Join Salmon Valley Stewardship at the Salmon Public Library on Thursday, Feb. 27th at 6pm for our "Organic Poultry Discussion Part 2". Guest speakers Henry and Laura with Homestead Organics will be speaking about their experiences raising chickens organically, butchering and processing. They'll also talk about challenges and barriers to organic certification as it relates to poultry for meat and egg sales.
There will be time at the end to ask questions, and also time to connect and chat with other folks who raise chickens or other poultry about your poultry projects at the end of the event.
This event is free and open to the public. Food and drinks provided! This organic poultry presentation and discussion is made possible through funding by the Northwest TOPP (Transition to Organic Partnership Program) - funded by USDA.
