We are excited to announce the first ever collaboration between the Brevard Discovery Garden (BDG) and Brevard Backyard Beekeepers (BBBK) to unite their annual spring events into one extraordinary community celebration!
On Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the 4th Annual BDG Spring Fling Plant Sale will partner with the BBBK Bees, Butterflies and Blooms Festival, bringing together the best of native plants, Florida-Friendly gardening, and pollinator education at the UF/IFAS Extension Brevard County Facility in Cocoa, 3695 Lake Dr., Cocoa, FL 32926
In past years, these two organizations hosted separate spring events. In 2026, they are combining efforts to create a larger, richer experience for the public—connecting gardeners directly with the plants, practices, and pollinators that support healthy Florida landscapes.
Attendees can expect:
- A wide selection of native and Florida-Friendly plants grown by local Master Gardeners
- Pollinator-focused education, with special programs on beekeeping
- Family-friendly activities and children’s programming
- Educational talks, demonstrations, and garden tours
- Opportunities to meet Master Gardeners and local beekeepers
- Vendors, exhibitors, and hands-on learning experiences
“This partnership allows us to tell a more complete story,” said Sally Scalera, UF/IFAS Brevard County Urban Horticulture Agent. “Healthy gardens and healthy pollinators go hand in hand. By working together, we’re offering the community an event that’s bigger, better, and more impactful than ever.”
This free event is open to all ages. Proceeds from BDG nursery plant sales help support the ongoing maintenance and educational mission of the Brevard County Master Gardener Program and the Brevard Discovery Garden.
