The Brenda Lee Jazz Duo features celebrated jazz pianist and composer Mike Nelson on keys, alongside Perth’s own international woman of jazz, Brenda Lee on vocals.
Together, they deliver a refined repertoire of sultry ballads, upbeat swing, rhythmic bossa nova and bluesy interpretations of classics by Antonio Carlos Jobim, Rodgers & Hart, Wayne Shorter, Duke Ellington and more.
A versatile vocalist with over two decades of live performance experience, Brenda Lee is known for her quiet sophistication, smooth vocals and emotive delivery. Trained at WAAPA and the Sydney Conservatorium, she has performed with leading jazz artists in New York, Sydney, Kuala Lumpur, Vancouver and beyond.
Mike Nelson has toured extensively across Europe, India, Southeast Asia and Australia, and has shared the stage with icons including Shirley Bassey, James Morrison and Jerry Lewis.
Expect elegance, artistry and timeless jazz from two masters of the craft.
