Milwaukee Water Commons is hosting a community celebration to honor Co-Executive Director Brenda Coley as she retires and you’re invited!Please join us on Monday, December 15, from 5:30-7:30 pm at the Great Hall at Pabst Best Place, 923 W. Juneau Ave., Milwaukee, for hors d'oeuvres, music, a cash bar and a joyful send-off that reflects the movement Brenda helped build. Parking is available on the street or in the Brewery Structure on the corner of 9th St. and Juneau Ave.
Brenda’s years of visionary leadership are firmly rooted in equity, partnership, and deep love for our shared waters. From lifting up community voices, to growing Water School, to championing environmental justice in our city and nationwide, Brenda has insisted that the people most impacted by decisions about our common waters belong at the center of them. Her steady presence, equal parts truth-telling, bridge-building, and celebration, has helped Milwaukee become a place where water stewardship is shared by everyone.
