About this Event
Ottawa arts photographer Curtis Perry will lead a 2hr workshop in a relaxed, small group (max 5 participants) setting with a professional model, with plenty of practical shooting time. Topics covered will be responsive to the interests and needs of the participants.
A wide range of lighting tools will be available to build effective lighting sets, including large and small continuous LEDs, softboxes, fresnels, flashes, umbrellas, and more.
In an attempt to loosely group by ability in order to help keep each workshop helpful and accessible, the 2pm time slot is suggested for beginner and intermediate photographers (who may have yet to shoot professionally or are looking to brush up on essential concepts), and the 6pm time slot is suggested for intermediate and advanced practitioners looking up pick up new ideas and expand their repertoire of looks.
Of course, everyone retains copyright on their images; the experience can work as a portfolio builder, as well as the opportunity to meet new friends!
Please bring you own camer(a), lens(es), storage cards, and brand-specific Godox flash trigger (if planning to use flash).
We will meet at Happy Goat Coffee (35 Laurel St.) shortly before the start of the session.
