WHAT IS BREATHWORK?
Breathwork is one of the most powerful tools in supporting health and well-being. It is an active meditation that uses a rhythmic breath pattern to reduce stress and stimulate deep emotional and spiritual growth.
Breathwork allows you to drop out of the busyness of your mind and go deeper into your emotions and patterns that weigh heavily on your body and nervous system. It is a powerful way to open up, clear stuck energy, and access your inner wisdom.
Using conscious breathing as a ritual for release and transformation is a multi-faceted way to let go of the illusion that we are somehow broken, separate, or incapable of being leaders & change agents in our lives.
The breath is a potent discipline that taps us into the secrets of our subconscious mind so that we may transform anger, sadness, grief, and pain into pure radiance, open-hearted courage, and radical self-love.
This specific Breathwork technique facilitates the release of strong emotions like anger, sadness, grief, anxiety, pain, and heartache. It can also help you to feel more open-hearted, courageous, comfortable, and at home in your body, while helping you to trust yourself and your intuition more fully.
Some benefits of Breathwork:
~helps your nervous system complete the stress cycle
~can support a deeper connection to your body
~helps to clear energy
~ uplifts emotions
~transforms internal beliefs that weigh us down
~promotes greater clarity around life's uncertainties
Together, in sacred community, we will use the power of conscious breath to align with our deepest truths, reconnect to the wisdom of our bodies, deepen our intuition, and create more depth and beauty in our lives.
“Studies are revealing that, by changing the patterns of breathing, it is possible to restore balance to the stress response systems, calm an agitated mind, relieve symptoms of anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), improve physical health and endurance, elevate performance, and enhance relationships.”

A couple of notes to help you prepare:
-Please wear anything you feel cozy and comfortable in. We will be sitting on the floor and lying down for the breath journey. I find clothing that is soft, warm, and unrestrictive to be the best fit.
-Please bring a yoga mat to lie on if you have one. You are also welcome to bring anything else you may need to comfortably lie down. We will have blankets, blocks, and bolsters available, however, you are welcome to bring anything of your own as well.
-If you'd like, you may also want to bring the following items with you:
Journal and pen
A blanket if you prefer your own, otherwise, we’ll have some on hand. This is not necessary, but if you tend to get cold easily, it may make your experience more comfortable.
Eye Covering
Water bottle
Any items of comfort to keep near you as you breathe (i.e. special photos, minerals or gemstones, anything you wish to bless with your breath). This is a beautiful opportunity to infuse them with the energy we create together.
-We will begin promptly at 1:00 PM. Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes in advance to get settled and comfy in the space.
