Ready to take your next step in weaving the transformational modality of Conscious, Connected Breathwork into your own life and potentially into your heart-centered work with clients? For many people, breathwork practices evoke endless possibilities for healing and insight across the full spectrum of mind, body, spirit, and relationships. It’s a tremendous gift that is an honor to share with other humans.
The Level 1 Breathwork Facilitator Training at Prana Yoga Studio is your first step in moving toward safely and effectively facilitating breathwork journeys for yourself and others. Our transformative weekend of exploration will primarily focus on deepening your personal experience with these potent approaches to breathing along with many other approaches, techniques and tools that can be effectively woven in to a breathwork journey.
We will spend time learning about some foundational aspects of this healing modality and develop a selection of creative resources that can be implemented in support of optimal self-regulation. These resources will be deeply supportive whether applied within your day-to-day life or while participating in these powerful processes.
You will receive four immersive breathwork journeys that strategically incorporate a variety of supplementary contemplative, sound, and somatic exercises to develop direct experience with what is possible within transformational breathwork sessions.
In the Level 1 training, you will also:
- learn basic history, philosophy, theory, and contraindications for the practice of conscious, connected breathwork
- learn about different non-ordinary states of consciousness and their importance
- experience the use of intentions, invocations, and the setting of sacred space/confidentiality
- learn about the use of music and other basic breathwork session tools
- experience alternate breathing styles for varied effects
receive basic post-breathwork session grounding and integrating practices
- learn about some common session experiences (eg. tetany) and functional responses to them
- begin studying how to foster a confidential, loving healing space
gain experience integrating movement and physical support exercises into breathwork journeys for optimal outcomes
- cultivate the capacity to for healthy self-regulation
Fridays, 5:30-9pm; Saturdays, 8am-6pm; Sundays, 8am-5pm
