About this Event
What sets this workshop apart:
Cold immersion and breathwork has become increasingly popular over the past few years, though workshops and classes often lack the expert knowledge of workshop leader, Molly Whitted, a practicing Doctor of Physical Therapy and certified yoga instructor.
Knowing the physiological benefits and how your body responds to both breathwork techniques and cold immersion is critical, as knowledge empowers and has been shown to enhance the physiological effects, so you get the most out of your practice.
This 3-hour workshop includes education followed by application.
You will learn step by step the physiological process of how the human body responds when exposed to rapid oxygenation via breathwork and how to harness the scientifically founded physiological effects of cold exposure to maximize cold shock proteins and the numerous healing and recovery benefits.
You will then be guided through 3 types of ancient pranayama breathwork, followed by cold immersion (ice bath) to help you with problems such as:
• Difficulty sleeping
• Inflammation
• Chronic pain or fatigue
• Depression
• Anxiety
• Muscle soreness
• Cardio deconditioning
• Difficulty facing your dragons
• And more…
