About this Event
In this breathwork class, you will learn about the benefits of diaphragmatic-connected breathing, including increased energy, relaxation, improved circulation, strengthened immunity, increased spiritual connection and emotional release, spontaneous joy, and a desire to move toward health and away from negative patterns. There will be an introduction, concentrated breath practice, and a relaxation exercise at the end. No previous knowledge required.
About the instructor: Lisa Silverman has been a certified breathworker from the International Breathwork Institute since 1994. She graduated from the Power of Breath Institute (POBI)’s two-year certification program in 2004. Since then, she has been assisting with trainings at POBI in Spofford and in Ireland, teaching classes and breath intros and seeing private clients in her hometown of Portland, Maine. Lisa is also a shiatsu therapist and natural foods chef and founded Five Seasons Cooking School in 1992. Lisa is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and has been the Co-director of Kindred Spirits Camp at Rowe Camp and Conference Center for three years.
