Located in the heart of the Mackenzie, Tekapo is set to become synonymous with wellbeing with the inaugural Breathe Tekapo Wellness Festival taking place from 24 to 26 May 2024.Breathe Tekapo will include three keynote speakers including chef and entrepreneur Nadia Lim, physiotherapist and educator Nigel Beach and Professor and clinical psychologist Julia Rucklidge. All are experts in their respective fields and will be sharing their own research and knowledge at the keynote sessions.
Alongside the keynote events, the weekend line up will include over 20 events and workshops to incorporate the four key themes of Breathe Tekapo; Nature, Movement, Food, Inspiration.
The diverse offering ranges from a foraging workshop with Peter Langlands and Jackie Phillips, a cooking demonstrations with Steph Peirce, to a fitness session with Mackenzie local Kate Ivey yoga sessions, a Breathwork workshop, stress management, mountain biking and much more. Workshops are facilitated by those who are passionate about sharing their own insights into health and wellness and the event has been designed to allow attendees to curate their own itinerary based around their wellness interests.
