About this Event
Living within an oppressive system, and organizing for a new way of being can be exhausting, frustrating, full of grief, hopeful, joyful, and so much more. Breath in freedom is an opportunity for us to make space for all of the feelings and emotions we are holding at this time, while also raising funds for Palestinians impacted by the ongoing genocide, as well as Black Mutual Aid.
In this session we move from the consesus that: If Black people are free, then ALL people will be free. This session is open to all and centers movement organizers, activists, and community caretakers.
During this session, we engage in a breathwork practice, followed by a sound bath that includes crystal singing bowls, gong, chimes, and more! Breathwork is activ e breath practice that allows for a deep sense of release and relaxation. This session is guided by Naadiya - breathwork facilitator, sound practitioner, and reiki healer.
Altar Invitation: If you feel called, please bring items to place on our communal altar for reverence and remembrance of our ancestors (does not have to be of familial connection).
