Conscious connected breathing is a continuous, rhythmic breathing practice with no pauses between the inhale and exhale, done with full awareness. It helps calm the nervous system, release stored stress or emotions, increase energy and clarity, and promote emotional balance and self-awareness.
This type of breathwork can bring emotion out that may have been in the background for a long time. Please be aware of this and make sure you’re comfortable with the idea of having an emotional release.
Breathwork is a powerful tool and not suitable for everyone. The following list highlights conditions that are not suitable to take part. If you have other considerations that could impact and aren’t on this list, please get in touch:
• Heart condition / high blood pressure
• Epilepsy / seizures
• Severe mental health diagnosis (psychosis, schizophrenia)
• Asthma
• Pregnancy
• Recent surgery / serious illness
• PTSD
• Trauma or history of trauma
• Being under professional mental health care
• On medication that will be impact by breathwork
