About this Event
Hosted by the Sprout Family Chiropractic Pediatric Team &
Annie Guevara, Certified Postpartum Doula & Certified Lactation Counselor
Preparing to welcome a baby brings excitement — and often questions, uncertainty, and mixed emotions around feeding and the early weeks.
This collaborative class is designed to meet families where they are and offer calm, practical, evidence-based education about breastfeeding, baby comfort, and early adjustment — without pressure or judgment.
Rather than focusing on doing things “right,” we’ll focus on understanding your baby, what’s common in the early days, and how support can look when things feel challenging.
In this class, we’ll explore:
- What to expect with feeding in the first hours, days, and weeks
- How milk production works and how feeding evolves
- Latch and positioning basics, with hands-on practice using dolls
- Signs that your baby is feeding effectively
- Bottle-feeding basics that support feeding skills and partner involvement
- How a baby’s body and nervous system can influence feeding and comfort
- When additional support may be helpful and how to know who to reach out to
This class is for:
- Expecting parents
- Partners and support people
- First-time and returning families
No prior experience needed.
Why this class is different
This class brings together pediatric chiropractic care and lactation education in a way that centers listening, whole-family support, and realistic expectations.
Families often seek Sprout’s care when they feel unsure, stuck, or unheard. This class reflects that same philosophy: slowing down, understanding the full picture, and offering support that respects each family’s unique experience.
Group size is intentionally limited to allow time for questions, hands-on learning, and individualized support.
