About this Event
Certain cancers are significantly affected by hormones: breast, uterine, and ovarian cancer in women and prostate and testicular cancer in men. Estrogens and Testosterone can go up or down depending on what we eat, affecting our cancer risk. We can help regulate our hormones with the foods we eat. This class will focus on low-fat, high-fiber foods to reduce the risk of cancer and help enhance survival for those who have been diagnosed.
In this class, attendees learn about nutrition while asking questions and enjoying cooking demonstrations, all in a supportive group setting.
Recipes and handouts will be provided a few days prior to class.
