Workshop Overview
This 1.5-hour workshop offers a mix of education, interactive exercises, and practical tools to help participants better understand trauma and take steps toward healing. Whether or not you identify with the word "trauma," this workshop is for anyone who has faced difficult experiences and feels stuck in patterns they want to change.

Participants will:
- Understand Trauma: Learn what trauma is and how it impacts your identity, behaviors, relationships, and the way you navigate the world—holistically affecting your mind, body, and emotions.
- Explore Your Story: Reflect on prompts designed to help you uncover how past experiences shape your emotional patterns and behaviors. Through guided exercises, you’ll gain clarity on what might be holding you back.
- Learn the Science: Through a brief overview of neuroscience, you'll gain a basic understanding of how trauma affects the brain and behavior, as well as the brain's incredible capacity to change, rewire, and heal.
- Discover Healing Approaches: Discuss effective therapies, coping strategies, and grounding techniques that support recovery from trauma.
- Embrace Holistic Healing: Explore what healing looks like when approached holistically, including how faith and spirituality can play a significant role in the process.
This workshop is designed to provide both insight and hope while equipping you with actionable tools for moving forward. Through moments of reflection, grounding exercises, and practical knowledge, you'll leave feeling empowered to take steps toward healing and wholeness.
About the Workshop Leader
Jyothi James, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, is a trauma-focused therapist dedicated to helping people heal and thrive. Specializing in EMDR and AEDP, she combines neuroscience and somatic-based therapy to create deep, lasting transformation. With over nine years of experience, she empowers individuals to break free from the weight of trauma and step into a fuller, more authentic life.
