Break the Loop - Tobacco Factory

A 2-hour in-person workshop for electronic music-makers with full lives and half-finished tracks

You still care about making music. But with work, family, and everything else on your plate, it keeps falling to the bottom of the list. You start tracks, but rarely finish. Whole months pass without opening your DAW—and when you do, it’s hard to know where to begin.

Break the Loop is a 2-hour workshop designed to help you explore what’s getting in the way of consistent music-making—and give you tools to finally start changing that.

This isn’t a production tutorial. It’s not about plugins or mixing techniques.

It’s about reframing your relationship with time, creativity, and progress.

We’ll dig into the mental blocks and real-life constraints that keep you stuck. You’ll uncover the inner narratives that sabotage momentum (like “I’m past it” or “It’s too late”), and learn how to replace them with grounded strategies that fit around your actual life.

You’ll leave with:

  • A clearer picture of what’s really stopping you
  • Reframes to shift the “not enough time” mindset
  • A simple system to reduce friction and get creating again
  • One small commitment to help you keep moving

This is a space for honesty, motivation, and practical creative change.

If the music still matters to you—this is where you reconnect with it.

About

My name’s Tom. I’m a personal development coach, a dad, and a dedicated music producer. For years, I struggled to balance career, family, and life responsibilities while still trying to make real progress with music.

I feel passionately about helping others reconnect with making that music they know is inside them, that lights them up like nothing else. But just isn't getting anywhere.

This workshop is born from that lived experience—and from the work I've done as a coach helping others reconnect with their creative drive without burning out. If you’ve still got music in you, but life keeps getting in the way, you’re not alone. I’ve been there. I’ve got less time than ever—but I’m making more (and better) music now than I did in my 20s, when I had all the time in the world. The difference? A few mindset and process shifts that changed everything. This workshop is an introduction to some of those mindsets and ideas on how you can start shifting this for yourself and your music.
