About this Event

Building Bridges of Connection & Understanding

In a world that often divides us, we believe that a shared meal and deep listening has the power to open hearts and build lasting bonds. On this National Day of Prayer, people of all faiths, traditions, and backgrounds are invited to gather in homes and centers across Greenville County — to sit together, listen deeply, and discover the humanity we share as neighbors.

Together, we will enjoy a simple meal and engage in open-hearted conversation using My Neighbor’s Voice Listening Cards in small groups of 6–7. Our conversation topics include: Sacred Thought; Faith, Justice & Mercy; and Civic Rights & Responsibilities. Each gathering will close by creating a shared prayer for unity and peace — a gift to one another and to our community.

A Special Invitation to Pastors, Clergy & Faith Leaders

If you are a pastor, imam, rabbi, priest, spiritual director, or a leader within any faith community in Greenville County, you and your members are especially invited to join us. This is a unique opportunity to model the bridge-building we wish to see in our community.

Faith communities are also invited to host a table. Hosting involves providing a gathering space and a modest meal (soup, bread & fruit; or pizza & salad; with water, coffee & tea) for about 8 guests. Each venue will be supported by a trained My Neighbor’s Voice facilitator.

Donations are gratefully welcomed to support Village Engage and My Neighbor’s Voice.
