Braw Cinema Club is back on the 20th February at the Banshee, sadly a certain icon has shuffled beyond the red room into the great unknown - so it makes sense to throw together a screening in his honour. Not to be confused with the ITV feel good family drama of the same title with Amanda Holden, but WILD AT HEART ticks most of the usual Lynchian boxes and is perhaps less talked about than his more recognised productions. A psychotic journey through the badlands of America with the king of understated and subtle performances, Nic Cage - along with Laura Dern at her sassiest. I don’t think I’ve shown a Lynch movie since the 3 hour fan cut of DUNE, which was actually a bit of a slog, so this will be a nice change of pace in comparison - plus Dafoe’s portrayal of Bobby Peru is friggin terrifying. 7.30 pm kick off, free entry!
