Join 'Brave Audio Journals: Empowering Women & Girls Through Storytelling,' a biweekly workshop by our 501(c)(3) nonprofit. This new initiative invites participants to explore audio journaling in a supportive environment. Offered by donation—contribute what you can to help sustain our community efforts.
This gathering is designed for women and adolescent girls, ready to explore the power of their personal stories and learn the skills needed to share them through audio journaling.
What to Expect:
During this workshop, you will:
- Learn the Basics of Audio Journaling: We'll introduce you to the tools and techniques of recording your stories, using The Voice Library platform.
- Engage in Creative Writing Exercises: Discover how to unlock your narrative voice through guided writing prompts that will help you delve into your experiences and emotions.
- Participate in Group Discussions: Share ideas and receive feedback in a supportive environment, fostering community and connection.
- Record Your First Audio Journal Entry: By the end of the session, you'll have the opportunity to record your first entry, which can be a powerful step towards personal expression and healing.
What to Bring:
- A notebook and pen for jotting down thoughts and workshop exercises.
- Any personal items that inspire your storytelling (photos, letters, etc.).
- A smartphone or any device capable of accessing the internet, if you wish to log into the Voice Library platform during the workshop.
