About this Event

đŸ„Ÿ ABOUT THE WALK đŸ„Ÿ

Discover the secrets of our local area on this fascinating walk, where you’ll often hear locals say, "I never knew that was there!" We’ll set off from the Admiral Nelson pub and stroll along the tranquil canal, where we’ll share stories of historic public houses that once thrived in the community.

As we venture towards a hidden village that was tragically abandoned during the plague, you’ll step back in time and explore the intriguing history that shaped our region. Along the way, we’ll pass by a site where a bomb landed during the war, adding to the walk's rich tapestry of local history.

Prepare for a bit of adventure as we navigate a few stiles (though please note this may not be suitable for larger or less agile dogs). And don’t worry—while we may pass a rather large manure pile that requires a peg for your nose, the fun and discovery will surely make up for it!

This is a perfect opportunity to connect with fellow walkers, enjoy the outdoors, and uncover some of the hidden gems in our community. We welcome both new and seasoned walkers to join us for an engaging and memorable experience!

❓ ROUND-ROBIN QUESTION: It's International Day of Maths! Do you enjoy maths?
