About the Artist:
Samuel Lynne Galleries is thrilled to welcome back Brandon Boyd, the acclaimed vocalist and frontman of Grammy-nominated rock band, Incubus, to Dallas. Boyd, recognized not only for his musical talents but also as a visual artist, presents his new exhibition showcasing his compelling artwork.
Artistic Focus:
Boyd's body of work delves into the exploration of lines and their deeper significance. His creations feature large explosions of lines intertwined with hidden meanings, exuding an inherent lyricism. Exploring the unexpected and embracing imperfections, Boyd's art challenges conventional perceptions of beauty.
Artwork Collection:
The exhibition will feature pieces from Boyd's prior collection, Impossible Knots, along with his latest never before seen series. Expect to witness Boyd's patient line work combined with a more spontaneous canvas, characterized by smudges, smears, drips, and splatters.
Artist's Achievements:
Aside from his artistic endeavors, Boyd is the author of three books that integrate his artwork, photography, and creative writing. His works have been displayed in solo and group exhibitions across the country. Notably, Incubus celebrates remarkable achievements with over 23 million albums sold and more than 1 billion streams.
