** DATE CHANGED due to the St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 7** Bushnell Park thrives because people care about its history, its landscape, and its role as a welcoming green space in the heart of Hartford. As we look ahead to spring, summer, and fall of 2026, we’re inviting volunteers who want to help us protect, preserve, and activate this historic park.
We’re seeking:
🌳 Corporate volunteer groups ready to make a meaningful impact through one‑day service projects.
🐿️ Ongoing volunteers to assist with essential stewardship work like trash clean‑up and weeding.
🦆 Park ambassadors interested in training to lead tours of the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Arch, the Carousel, our remarkable trees, and the broader history that makes Bushnell Park so special.
If you’re inspired by our mission and want to play a part in caring for this beloved public space, join us for our Volunteer Open House on Saturday, March 7, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bushnell Park Carousel. You’ll meet Morgan, our Executive Director, and learn how your time and talents can help sustain the park for generations. The program begins at 10:30.
We’d be thrilled to welcome you into the Conservancy community and continue this important work together.
