Brainfood Lunch Lab at Guild Row is our monthly BYOL (Bring Your Own Lunch) event where members take the stage to spill secrets on everything from professional hacks to personal hobbies. Each session introduces a fresh slice of perspective to our collective idea-sharing feast. Pack your lunch and join us for a session that feeds your brain in the most laid-back classroom around.
This month's workshop is for people interested in organizing/producing festivals and events with a focus on unique/niche community engagement. Participants will learn about the importance of community-centric programming, explore successful case studies from Black event organizers, and create a vision board for value-centered and practical events.
Featured Speaker: Chinyere "Chi" Achebe is behind some of the most unique experimental events in Chicago. As an Events Director, Public Artist, and Civic Engagement Project Lead, Chi thoughtfully orchestrates the convergence of creativity, art, and community. Her events transcend mere gatherings, becoming immersive experiences that forge deep connections and celebrate the city's vibrant culture. With an innate ability to craft unforgettable moments, Chi's work stands as a testament to the power of art and community to transform and inspire.
