About this Event

Our popular Brain Injury Networking Forum returns this July. Join us at Halo Leisure Centre in Hereford for this free event. The morning starts with complimentary refreshments and networking, which will be followed by talks from our two speakers.

Alex Haines - Cycle Hub at Halo Leisure Centre
Alex Haines, partnership manager at Halo Leisure Centre, will give a talk about what the Halo Cycle Hub do and who it is for.
The Hereford Adaptive Cycling Group was developed by the Hereford Acquired Brain Injury Team, which provides neuro-rehabilitation for acquired brain injury survivors, in collaboration with Halo Leisure Centre.
Jakko Brouwers - Morrello Clinic
Our second speaker, Jakko Brouwers, is a clinical expert physiotherapist based at the Morello Clinic in Newport, South Wales.
Jakko trained and qualified as a physiotherapist in the Netherlands in 1995. From qualification onwards, he has been specialising in neuro-rehabilitation. This was at first within a general field of adults and children with neurological disease, through basic Bobath and advanced Bobath training.
Through Morrello, Jakko now works privately. Mainly seeing patients at the dedicated Morrello Clinic or seeing patients at home. Morrello Clinic has developed a reputation for a high quality, evidence based, technology rich rehabilitation service in the region.
He continues to work with complex neuro-disability (SCI, Acquired Brain Injury, MS, CP, Stroke) and has been one of the first therapists in the UK to be fully licensed and accredited to deliver the PDWarrior programme for Parkinson’s patients.
