Hopkinton, NH–based guitarist and composer Brad Myrick is a three-time New England Music Awards nominee - including 2023 Male Performer of the Year - and 2023 Hippo Best Musical Act winner. He performs in a wide range of settings with influences spanning contemporary jazz, world music, pop, rock, and Americana. The Brad Myrick Band brings together a trio of highly seasoned musicians - featuring John Kumnick on bass and PJ Donahue on drums - each with decades of professional experience at the highest levels of the industry.
Beyond his work as a bandleader, Brad Myrick maintains an active international career. His instrumental duo, Nicola Cipriani & Brad Myrick, has released four albums and two live EPs, with multiple successful international tours. He has also toured extensively throughout the USA, Canada, France, and Italy as guitarist for internationally acclaimed artist Vinx, performing at prestigious venues including Birdland in NYC and the Montreal Jazz Festival. As a session musician, Brad has contributed to numerous recordings, including work with #1 Mexican pop artist María José, releases for Italian label IRMA Records, and albums by dozens of New England artists. In addition, Brad leads a mentorship program that integrates music, artist development, and life/business strategy to support musicians in building sustainable creative careers.
John Kumnick is a world-class bassist whose career includes performances with iconic artists such as David Bowie, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Serge Gainsbourg, Ben E. King, and Chuck Berry. Bringing decades of high-level touring experience, he is a dynamic and engaging presence on stage, and his deep groove, musical sensitivity, and easygoing spirit are the perfect complement to the band. Based in New England, he also performs with Initials JR, Moxie Music, and Fog Ave.
PJ Donahue is a seasoned drummer with over 35 years of experience, known for his versatility, musicality, and powerful feel behind the kit. He has performed on bills alongside a wide range of national acts including The Headhunters, Johnny Winter, Maceo Parker, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Brad Paisley, among many others. In addition to his extensive performance career, PJ is the composer and bandleader of Daisy’s Big Parade, his first project as a composer, co-produced with Brad Myrick. A mainstay of the New England music scene, he has performed with hundreds of bands, bringing energy, professionalism, and a deep sense of groove to every stage.

A Listening Room Experience
Hermit Woods is excited to bring talented artists from New England and beyond to perform for you. Each performance will provide you with an intimate, up-close, and personal experience with the performing artists. We ask our audience please refrain from talking during the featured show. Your silence will allow the artists and the audience to immerse themselves in the experience, which is not otherwise possible in larger, noisier environments.
Complimentary wine tasting from 5:30 to 6:00. The Loft Doors open at 6:00 for dinner. We encourage you to arrive early for our wine tasting and enjoy food and wine before the show. The kitchen will close at 7:00 pm. When the featured artists takes the stage we will ask that the audience remain quiet during the performance. After the show, we invite you to interact with the artists and purchase any music or merchandise offerings if available.
