BRAC Genders 2025Open British Parliamentary Debate Tournament

BRAC University Debate Club is proud to bring back one of its flagship tournaments after a long four year hiatus: BRAC Genders 2025. It will be held on 22nd and 23rd August, and you’re invited to be a part of this unforgettable experience!
Patriarchy casts a long shadow over every aspect of Bangladeshi society and the debating circuit is no exception. BRAC Genders was created as a response, a rebellion, a voice shouting from the mountaintops: enough!
This tournament is dedicated to amplifying voices that are often unheard: women and gender minorities who face structural and cultural barriers in the world of debate. Much like San in Princess Mononoke, these debaters continue to fight for space, for freedom, and for the right to speak.
Let the winds of change blow through the debating circuit, just as they did in the forests of Princess Mononoke: fierce, wild, and unafraid.
BRAC Genders is not just a tournament, it is a statement. Prepare for two days of high-octane debates, fierce rhetoric, and camaraderie that even Calcifer would warm up to.

Venue: BRAC University (Main Campus)
Dates: 22-23 August, 2025
Team Requirement: Each team must include at least one female or gender minority member.
