About this Event
A ‘train the trainer’ event which equips educators to support boys and young men to critically engage with issues related to masculinities in the classroom and beyond.
The day empowers school leaders with the tools to develop impactful strategies, programmes and interventions specific to their contexts. After providing educators with knowledge and evidence-based insight to support their male pupils in exploring what it can mean to ‘be a man’ in today’s world, each delegate will leave with a bespoke plan for their school centred on evidence-based approaches, underpinned by a robust Theory of Change.
The impact of successful masculinity-based programmes include:
- Improved attendance
- Improved attitude to learning
- Improved progress and attainment
- Reduced behaviour incidents and exclusions
Combining decades of experience successfully supporting the educational outcomes of young men, this event is designed and delivered by Dr Alex Blower (Founder of ) and Mike Nicholson (Founder of ).
