The first event collab between LGBTQ+/woman-owned bookshop Finch & Fern Book Co (Sylvania, OH) and woman-owned Lit & Lore Bookstore (Fremont, OH)
What's better than a trip to the Boy Garden where we can watch the Boys warm up, make new friends, talk baseball romance stories, eat hot dogs, drink soda, have some awesome social media moments (in matching t-shirts, of course), and watch the Mudhens play a game? How about a book swap, a raffle, and some giveaways? Sounds pretty perfect to us!
Don't feel like driving yourself to downtown Toledo? Snag a seat on a party bus!
Want more to commemorate the night of bookish girlie bonding than a t-shirt? Add on a swag bag, which will include: a tote, a bookmark, a sticker, a pin (all made by local woman-owned small businesses) and a baseball romance book!
What can you expect? Arrive early so we can respectfully ogle at the Mudhens doing their warm-ups, then before the game starts we'll do a book swap--bring along a book you'd like to trade--and check out our raffles! Finch & Fern's raffle basket will feature locally-made items from local woman-owned businesses and will benefit Humane Ohio, a Toledo-based clinic that functions as a low-cost spay & neuter clinic, as well as adopting out loveable pets. Lit & Lore's raffle basket will feature items from Fremont based businesses and locally-made items and will benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Northwest Ohio, an organization that provides a place for families of children under long-term medical care to stay close to their kids without worry about the cost associated with being close by.
