Bournemouth Open 2026 is back — one of the UK's longest-running Brazilian jiu jitsu competitions, now in its 17th year at Littledown Centre, Bournemouth.Whether you're a white belt stepping onto the competition mat for the first time or an experienced competitor chasing your next medal, this is the BJJ event on the South Coast you don't want to miss.

Bournemouth Open 2026 is piece 3 of the Mega Medal series. Collect all four pieces across our four events and complete the full giant medal. If you're already holding pieces 1 and 2 — this one's non-negotiable.
WHAT'S ON
📌 Gi and No-Gi divisions available
📌 IBJJF rules and qualified referees throughout
📌 All age categories — from juniors through to masters
📌 White belt to black belt welcome
📌 Professional photographer on the day — photos uploaded to our Facebook page within days of the event
THE VENUE
Littledown Centre, Bournemouth — the same venue we've called home for 17 years.
✅ Free 3-hour parking on site (pay & display available after — buy before your free hours run out to avoid automatic fines)

You don't need to be there all day — just arrive 1 hour before your fight to sign in, warm up and weigh in.
SPECTATORS
Adult spectators: £7.50 on the door
For each child competitor — one adult spectator free. Any additional adults pay £7.50.
REGISTRATION
🗓 Normal registration: open now until 29th May 23:59
🗓 Late registration: 29th May – 31st May 23:59 (higher fee applies)
🗓 Check Day: Monday 1st June — all entry changes must be made via smoothcomp before midnight

CHECK DAY — IMPORTANT
All changes to your entry must be made by YOU via your smoothcomp account before midnight on Monday 1st June. Please check:
— Academy name
— Weight category (you must make weight on the day)
— Age category
— Belt (been promoted? update it now)
No changes can be made on the day.
FIGHT TIMES
Fight times will be released around Wednesday 4th June once brackets are confirmed. Times are dynamic and may change — keep checking. You only need to arrive 1 hour before your fight.

PHOTOS
Our professional photographer will capture the full day. Photos will be uploaded to this Facebook page within a few days after the event — tag your academy and share with your team.
