We want our children to be happy. We want them to experience a joy-filled life…however, we also probably don’t want to drown ourselves in the process. We want them to follow their dreams but not at the cost of walking all over others or themselves. We want to be close to them, however, we probably don’t want them to be so comfortable, that they never leave “the nest”. Parenting is hard. Caregiving children is hard. Grandparenting can be hard. Raising humans is hard!!!
Boundaries or a lack of boundaries, will make or break ANY relationship. Boundaries are NOT just for our adult-to-adult relationships. Without boundaries, we can often sabotage our own experiences as a parent...it can feel like too much.
Join me at Unity Center of Des Moines Monday evenings from 4 pm to 5 pm for some reading, conversation, and connection.

What is provided?
• You will be provided with a safe, private space.
• Guidance for reading and a participation guide for the book “Boundaries with Children” by Dr. Henry Cloud and John Townsend (you can choose to buy your own book for this class or borrow from what we have on hand.)
• Hot tea & a light snack.
I have been in childcare and early education for over 25 years. I have a degree in ECE, have been a teacher, director, assistant director, and I am also the mother of 4 beautiful humans. I am a certified Trauma-Based yoga instructor and meditation guide.
It takes a village…let’s connect and create and give our children the BEST POSSIBLE start.
