Join us for the first walk of the year along the Coastal Dune Hiking Trail at Blaauwberg Nature Reserve. Learn more about the Strandveld vegetation and its place within the Fynbos Biome. This will be a guided walk led by members of the Custodians of Rare and Endangered Wildflowers (CREW), providing information on the plant species and discussing interesting botanical aspects along the way.

Meeting point: Environmental Education Centre at Eerstesteen Resort, Otto du Plessis Drive (R27)
Cost: Free
The trail is soft sand but otherwise not difficult, although it can become very hot in the dunes. Make sure to bring water, wear a hat and sunscreen. Dogs are not allowed in the Reserve.
