Botanical Printing: The Basics with Cina Canada and Jen Welton

Learn the fine art of printing leaves onto paper and hammering flowers onto fabric.
In this workshop, you will:
- Learn the basics of preparing paper and fabric to receive plant pigments
- Discuss what leaves print best and how
- Learn about and use dye blankets
- Choose and create a composition with leaves and print onto paper
- Practice leaf & flower impressions, i.e. "pounding" onto fabric
- Go home with your workshop creations and instructions on how to continue exploring at home!
All materials + snacks + drinks provided
This workshop is for adults and hosted at the Wild Arts Learning Center in Springfield, MO. For locals: just out east Sunshine and around the bend from Turner's Station off J Hwy. The address and directions are emailed upon booking.
