About this Event
Be inspired by the beauty of nature as you learn how to extract colour to make inks from a variety of plant material.
We will explore different sources of colour, including blacks, and learn various ways to extract these useful pigments.
Experiment with mixers and modifiers which expand the range of hues available.
Make your own inks and test out a range of inks made by Tamsin.
Enjoy the alchemy of interactions between your new inks, different papers and modifiers as we draw with brushes and twigs.
We will chat about how making your own art materials helps us make connections with the place we live and work and our creative practice. We will consider the effects of light on art made with botanical inks and celebrate the dynamic qualities while thinking about storing out work safely.
Workshop ticket includes all materials and Eventbrite booking fees and taxes.
You will receive a handmade notebook with a bundle of different papers and 2 dropper bottles of handmade botanical ink to take home.
Tickets are non refundable and not transferrable. Please note that if insufficient number of participants sign up I may choose to cancel the workshop and refund your ticket.
