Homeschool Horticulture and Habitat LessonThe mission of BBG is to advance the knowledge and appreciation of plants and the environment in relation to personal and community education, well-being and scientific knowledge. To achieve this, BBG conserves, preserves, displays and interprets native and adapted flora and fauna for our area residents and visitors. Thus, contributing to the health of our residents and visitors, as well as improving the attractiveness of the community.
Proposed Activities
9:30 am – 10:00 Welcome and Habitat Lesson on Garden Center patio. 10:05 – 10:25 Trail hike around Gardens 10:30 – 10:50 Game: Oh Deer! 10:55 – 11:15 Native plants and how we can save wildlife. 11:20 – 11:30 Restroom break 11:30 – 12:00 Picnic Lunch on the Garden Center patio and group photos 12:00 - 12:40 Scavenger Hunt in the Conservatory (break into 2 groups and rotate through)
