We meet once a month for a friendly community litter pick around town.
Next one is Sunday June 7th. Meeting at 2.30pm by the skatepark in Borough Park - which is next to Totnes Train Station.
The plan is to litter pick for about 90 minutes - but whatever time or capacity you have available would be much appreciated.
We shall start around the skatepark and rugby club area, and the paths behind the tennis courts and bowling green – then move towards the Pavillions Leisure centre.
If you have your own equipment, please do bring it along - especially gloves, we only have a few pairs of those. We do though have a good number of litter picking devices, along with hi-viz vests, hoops and bags, so you can just turn up and join in.
A few simple things to keep in mind:
• Please wear sensible shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
• Gloves are recommended if you have them.
• Children are welcome but should be supervised.
• If you find anything sharp or unusual, let one of the organisers know rather than handling it yourself.
Whilst we are supported by the district council with provision of equipment and taking away of rubbish bags afterwards, we are entirely made up of independent volunteers. We are not an organisation or a charity and we do not have public liability insurance.
