About this Event
Every month is Black History Month.
But on this day, we pause together to name it out loud.
Our annual Black History celebration is a joyful affirmation of what we know to be true: Black children are born brilliant. Their genius is not accidental. It is inherited and rooted in legacy, culture, imagination, and possibility.
This gathering is a space to spotlight the Afro-Genius in our children—their creativity, confidence, curiosity, and voice. Children from across our city will take the stage to perform, share, and shine, reminding us that Black history is not only something we remember—it is something we are actively shaping through them.
We come together not to retell stories of struggle alone, but to honor brilliance, joy, and the futures our children are already building.
Join us for a morning rooted in celebration, community, and collective pride.
Come witness what happens when children are seen, affirmed, and invited to stand fully in who they are.
Every child arrives with genius. Our work is to nurture it.
We hope you’ll join us.
