Event days run by the Academy of Historical Fencing, open to any member of a HEMA club (see requirements below) If you are a member of a HEMA club and are insured, you are welcome to come along.Each event day will offer free sparring during all four hours, as well as an optional organised 1 hour themed melee/game element. The Rogues Brawl will be a close in backstreet melee brawl with short and weird weapons. Synthetic weapons only. No two handed swords, polearms or shields. We do encourage short weapons such as short swords, daggers, axes, bucklers, sickles, cloaks, etc.
The session will be four hours long on the Saturday afternoon (12:30-4:30pm), and will cost £10 per person. The location (Chepstow Leisure Centre) is very easy to access with free parking. We have a full large sports hall to use, meaning bucket loads of space for all.
After event drinks, food and party at Nick & Esther's afterward in Newport.
RULES
You must bring your own gear. All participants must be a minimum of 18 years old. A fencing mask is the absolute minimum safety gear required to attend. Full sparring gear is required for melee games.
