About this Event
This introductory tutorial is designed for those taking their first steps into the world of fine wine and eager to explore the revered wines of Bordeaux. Across a two-hour masterclass, your host will guide you through the region’s history, its key sub-regions and the styles that have made Bordeaux one of the most influential wine regions on earth.
Following a welcoming apéritif, you’ll begin by tasting a dry white and some approachable red wines that offer an accessible entry into the region’s traditions. From there, we progress to a curated flight of reds from some of Bordeaux’s most iconic areas. Each wine is chosen to highlight the hallmark aromas, flavours and structure that define its respective commune.
By the end of the evening, you’ll feel far more confident distinguishing Margaux from St-Estèphe, or Pomerol from Pessac-Léognan, and you’ll come away with a deeper understanding and appreciation of the remarkable diversity of Bordeaux.
Wines to be tasted: An exact list of the wines to be tasted will be posted closer to the event.
