B.O.O.T., or the Basic Objectives & Operations Training, is a 24 hour training event for USGI and PAVN troops. The motivation for BOOT is to teach participants how “the Marines did it” while living on a remote firebase with minimal amenities and resources. PAVN participants will be taught fieldcraft, how the Anchor & Star “tunnel system” works, and how to live in a mobile encampment ready to move at any time.
Participants will also learn all the available roles in an Anchor & Star Vietnam event including Corpsman/Medic, Radio Telegraph Operator (RTO), and Squad/Cell leader. The training exercises are based on a modified USMC CTF course, weapons qualifications, and patrolling; culminating in day and night combat operations.
Note: The scheduled date may fluxuate based on venue availability
