About this Event
BOOMTOWN is a powerful docudrama inspired by true events — when a band of unlikely rebels in 1970s Frederick, Maryland ignited a cultural revolution that saved their sinking town and sparked a renaissance of creativity. 50 years later, in 2025, Lexi Brown—a bold college student with deep local roots—returns to uncover the truth hidden in her late father Amos’s newspaper archives. As she pieces together the past, she discovers that the spark that once saved a city might be exactly what’s needed to save the future.
