Come join OzFish for a planting day at Boomerang creek and help get 500 native trees and grasses into the ground! This planting will build on existing restoration work on the site, to restore a total of 1km of riparian zone. This will help connect native vegetation corridors along Boomerang Creek, enhancing biodiversity, supporting wildlife and improving aquatic habitats. This event is a great opportunity to see quality riparian restoration in action and learn tips and tricks from landholders and stakeholders to take home to your property!
Alongside our planting day, we will hold a Water Bugs – Eco health monitoring workshop where you can become a citizen scientist. Learn how water bugs are key indicators of the health of our waterways and why they are so important to our fish.
