About this Event

BOOMBOX returns [SAT.6/6] with a special event celebrating the release of "THEE IMMACULATE", a brand new collaborative LP by THURZ & 14KT!! The dynamic duo will be joined on the set by none other than our Beat Junkie brother RHETTMATIC + our favorite triple threat LIKE!

An album we've been eagerly anticipating since we got wind of the two working together a few years back, "Thee Immaculate" showcases the dynamic lyricism of Inglewood's finest THURZ and the sample artistry of Michigan's own 14KT! With his unique vocal tone and devastating pen game, we've been fans of THURZ since his days as a member of U-N-I and first booked him way back in 2009. As far as producers go, 14KT may be our most booked beatsmith ever...lush soundscapes, neck-snapping drums, incredible range, he is most definitely one of one. Together they have crafted a very special body of work that's rooted in authenticity, with a sound that's somehow both classic and exploratory. We could not be more hyped to help 2 of our favorites present this amazing project to the world!

Since September 2nd, 2006, Boombox has provided a home for Los Angeles hip hop lovers to gather every first Saturday of the month and celebrate the genre’s most respected DJs and producers.
