The authors will be signing and personalizing copies of the book after the speaking portion of the event.
- In order to get a book signed, you must have purchased a ticket (which includes a copy of the book).
- For high volume events, post-talk signing lines can become very long. For such events, we recommend arriving and checking in to the event early as that will get you into an earlier signing group.

- We will hold your book at BookPeople for 30 days after the event.
- We cannot guarantee that your book will be signed. While we do our best to try and get all event books signed, priority is given to event attendees and any extra stock is dependent on the author’s availability.

About the book:
Michelin-starred pitmaster Evan LeRoy breaks down his secrets to the best barbecue in the nation, sharing nearly 100 innovative techniques and recipes that have made LeRoy and Lewis one of Austin's most popular barbecue joints.
About the authors:
Evan LeRoy is redefining Texas barbecue at LeRoy and Lewis by blending fine dining techniques with whole-animal butchery and responsible sourcing. Known for emphasizing barbecue as a cooking method, not a menu, Evan’s “new school BBQ” highlights cuts like beef cheeks and bacon ribs. Ranked #2 on Texas Monthly’s Top 50 BBQ List (2025), featured on Somebody Feed Phil, and honored with a Michelin star, his influence is global. Evan shares his craft through international training and YouTube channel, offering behind-the-scenes looks and instructional content for BBQ lovers worldwide.
Paula Forbes is the author of 2018’s The Austin Cookbook, helped write The Big Texas Cookbook by the editors of Texas Monthly, and coauthored Cured: Cooking with Ferments, Pickles, Preserves & More with San Antonio chef Steve McHugh. Formerly an editor at Eater and Epicurious, and cookbook critic for Lucky Peach magazine, Forbes is currently the senior food and drinks writer for Texas Monthly magazine and the editor of Stained Page News, an IACP Award–nominated cookbook newsletter. She lives in Austin, Texas.
By purchasing a book from BookPeople, you are not only supporting a local, independent business – you’re showing publishers that they should continue sending authors to BookPeople.
