Tired of the festive season blues and endless shopping lists? Step away from consumer madness and into the quirky world of sustainable making! In this hands-on workshop, we’ll be turning the humble pasta maker into your new favourite printmaking tool. Using recycled tetrapak cartons, you’ll design and etch your very own bookmark – perfect as a personalised gift or a cheeky treat for yourself. Expect a playful mix of creativity, sustainability, and the satisfying crank of pasta rollers (no spaghetti involved, promise).
You’ll leave not only with a one-of-a-kind bookmark but also with a fresh perspective on reuse and resourcefulness in 2025. Who knew reducing waste could be this fun? This workshop is all about slowing down, getting crafty, and proving that the best gifts aren’t bought – they’re rolled, etched, and made with a touch of humour.
About the facilitator:
Elina Bry is a Glasgow based artist, facilitator and occasionally (Betty) the Strawberry. With a background in participatory arts and film, they lead workshops that explore sustainability, slow making, and playful approaches to creativity. Their practice often reimagines everyday tools and recycled materials, inviting participants to think differently about waste and resourcefulness. They believes in the power of collective creativity to spark connection, joy, and new perspectives on ecology. As a workshop leader, they create welcoming spaces where curiosity thrives, encouraging people to slow down, experiment, and discover that sustainability can be inventive and fun.

There will be 10 attendees maximum, and the event will feature comfort breaks. During this event, attendees will participate in: Hands-on activities.
