Meet your host!
Taylor Buenaga has been a Monmouth County resident for more than 20 years and is deeply familiar with the culture of Asbury Park. She earned her BA in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Drew University in New Jersey. Continuing her education, she completed a Master’s in Social Work with a certificate in Trauma-Informed Care at Rutgers University, and later obtained her LSW in the State of New Jersey. She currently works as a behavioral therapist at Circle Care Services, supporting children and young adults, implementing creative and inclusive interventions tailored to clients with diverse physical and cognitive developmental needs. She is passionate about integrating art and play therapy techniques to help clients explore and understand their emotions and thought processes through creative expression rather than relying solely on verbal communication. In practice, she uses various mediums of creative art, creative play, literary art, and dance to connect with the client and calls for a reflection of what the client has discovered about an emotion, thought, or feeling that arose from the activity. She looks forward to connecting with and supporting a broader range of individuals as she continues to grow in this field.
