Please join BookBar Book Club for an author talk with Shelley Dark to discuss her latest book "Son of Hydra".Dark's riveting historical novel based on the true story of Ghikas Voulgaris, a privileged young Greek shipping heir who becomes Australia's first Greek convict. It is a sweeping tale of love, loss, and redemption that explores themes of identity and the resilience required to survive.
We will be heading upstairs at Loulaki Restaurant and feasting on a special banquet menu including dips, salads, and chicken souvlaki. Drinks to be purchased on the night.
No need to read the book before this event, but if you'd like to read it beforehand, copies can be purchased at The Book Tree (456 Ruthven St, Toowoomba). Books can also be purchased on the night!
