We’re delighted to welcome authors Marybeth Mayhew Whalen and Lisa Patton for a special evening of conversation about their newest novels, Handle with Care and Kissing the Sky.

About Handle with Care:
Handle with Care story about finding hope in the face of hardship and connection in the face of crisis, Handle with Care is a novel for our time. Three women walk into a post office. This is no joke--it's the spark that ignites a life-altering hostage crisis.

About Kissing the Sky:
Kissing the Sky is a soulful, nostalgic novel about a young woman coming of age in the '60s to the blare of the music that shaped a generation.

About Marybeth Whalen:
Marybeth received a BA in English with a concentration in Writing and Editing from NC State University and has been writing ever since. She is the co-founder of The Book Tide, an online community of readers where “a rising tide raises all books.” Marybeth and her husband Curt are the parents of six kids who are now all in various stages of adulting.

About Lisa Patton:
Lisa Patton began her career in entertainment and media in Memphis before later joining musician Michael McDonald on multiple album and video projects. After a stint as an innkeeper in Vermont inspired her debut novel, Whistlin’ Dixie in a Nor’easter, she became a bestselling author known for her Southern-themed “Dixie” series. A breast cancer survivor, she now lives in Nashville with her husband and continues writing while celebrating a large blended family.
