And we love her debut book, Ordinary Time, a heartfelt and beautifully written reflection on finding meaning in the everyday and embracing a quieter kind of life. We are thrilled that she's coming to Huntsville to let us celebrate the paperback release of Ordinary Time. Join us at The Snail for a fabulous conversation about books and life.

Two ticket options are available:

About Ordinary Time:
Can life be an adventure, even when it’s just . . . ordinary? Annie B. Jones challenges the idea that loud lives are the ones that matter most, reminding us that we don't have to leave the lives we have in order to have the lives of which we've always dreamed. She always assumed adulthood would mean adventure: a high-powered career; life in a big, bustling city; and travels to far-flung places she’d longed to see. But her reality turned out differently. After ten years, Annie realized she might never leave. But instead of regret, she had an epiphany. She awakened to the gifts of a quiet life spent staying put. We don’t have to leave to find what we yearn—we can choose to stay, celebrating and honoring our ordinary lives, which might turn out to be bigger and better than we ever imagined.

About Annie B. Jones:
Annie B. Jones owns The Bookshelf, an independent bookstore in beautiful downtown Thomasville, Georgia, where she’s lived happily with her husband, Jordan, for more than a decade. Annie also hosts , a weekly podcast about books, small business, and life in the South. Her work and podcast have been featured in national media including Southern Living and Country Living magazines, and her first book, Ordinary Time: Lessons Learned While Staying Put, released April 2025.
